"Pitch Your Business"
Carol Stream Chamber Luncheon
Wed., August 13th, 2008
Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites ~ Carol Stream

If you attended the August luncheon you were one of the 90 attendees who were informed and entertained at our 3rd annual “Pitch Your Business” luncheon. Beginning with Carol Stream resident and DePaul Music Business student, Erin Silk, the crowd was treated to a professional rendition of the National Anthem.

The purpose of this baseball-themed luncheon was to do your best in 45 seconds to ‘deliver the pitch’ about your company, perhaps making it impossible for anyone to forget you.

Indeed we had great participation and kudos to all who had the courage to present.

What did we see? We saw a Santa suit, a singing golfer, a human sized bowling pin, a banker throwing Cubs and Sox hats to the crowd with $$ attached, a dog trainer walking an invisible dog, computer pros with tangled and  untangled cables and a sign that transformed ANYONE into a beach babe! We had all that and more, as the group of 90 gathered in the Majestic Tent at the Holiday Inn.

Thanks to Marina Collazo/Restoration Coalition who donated Sox tickets to the winning pitcher. Each attendee listened intently to the pitches and, in the end voted for their favorite pitcher. First place went to the crew from the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites – it was more than a wedding! Congratulations, Holiday Inn and thank you, Marina.
